About The Event

Help us celebrate International Day of People with a Disability!

In celebration of International Day of People with Disability and to raise funds for the purchase of a RaceRunner for cerebral palsy athletes to participate in athletics, Little Athletics NSW/Athletics NSW are holding a Luncheon!

COST:         $75pp or

                   $500 for a table of 7

DRESS:      Smart Casual

GUEST SPEAKER:    Carol Cooke - Canadian born Australian cyclist, swimmer and rower. A keen swimmer, Carol Cooke was part of the Canadian national swimming team and was hoping to be selected for the 1980 Moscow Olympics before her country boycotted the Games. She moved to Australia in 1994, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998, and took up rowing in 2006, in which she narrowly missed out on being part of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. She then switched to cycling, where she won a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympics and two gold medals at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics.

In addition to the keynote speaker, we will also have a panel discussion with several other young para athletes who have competed in track and field up to Paralympic level.

We will also be raffling several prizes that have been kindly donated for the occasion (to be disclosed closer to the date).

Little Athletics NSW hope that you are able to join!

Ticket sales close 9am Monday, 26 November. Purchase your tickets here!

On Tuesday, 27 November, Little Athletics NSW Staff members will be taking part in a relay marathon celebration of International Day of People with Disabilities (3 December). Each staff member will run/walk a set amount of distance until we reach 42.195km!!! The raised funds will go towards the purchase of a Racerunner for Cerebral Palsy athletes to participate in athletics in NSW events.

Donate today via our GoFundMe Page to support us as we make sure athletics remains as the inclusive sport it has always been. All contributions, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Click here to donate.
