Our CPSARA members have returned from a very successful campaign in Spain for the World Games with many memories and much experience gained. The Australian team consisted of 5 CPSARA athletes:
Summer Giddings who got straight PBs in all her events and a World Record for T35 long jump. Summer finished with two gold medals in 400m and long jump.
Holly Saunders finished with two silver medals. Silver medal in 200m women and silver medal in Long Jump.
Mali Lovell was competing in her first international athletics competition at only 15 years old and finished with four gold medals in 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m!
Nick Riches was competing up a class since he is a t/f 37 and was competing against t/f 38. He is a fighter and set 3 PB's in all the track events he raced in and finished with a gold medal in Long Jump.
Tahlia Blanshard finished with three gold medals in 100m Backstroke,100m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly and a silver medal in 50m Freestyle.
