COASTABILITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CENTRAL COAST CPSARA ATHLETES TAHLIA & RAE

Tahlia Blanshard and Rae Anderson were recently awarded two scholarships each by Central Coast non-profit organisation for people and children with disabilities, CoastAbility. Both Tahlia and Rae were each awarded an academic and a sporting scholarship to support them in pursuing their academic studies and sporting goals. Tahlia is pursuing a Health Science degree with ACPE with plans for future studies in biomechanics This is all while training for the Women's CP Football Team and competing in swimming with goals of competing at the Paralympics. Rae is studying a Bachelor of Arts double major with Honours in Indonesian Studies. Rae has recently transitioned from athletics to alpine skiing to train with the Australian Para Alpine Ski Team in Jindabyne.
Rae Anderson and Tahlia Blanshard will each receive $10 000 over two years, to assist with their academic and sporting endeavours. Coastability planned on presenting one academic scholarship to one Central Coast student and one sporting scholarship to another Central Coast athlete. On reviewing both Tahlia and Rae's applications, they decided to present a sporting scholarship and academic scholarship to both girls. Liesl Tesch AM MP, 7 time Paralympian presented the girls their scholarships as a CoastAbility ambassador in front of family and friends. NBN News reported on the inaugural event and scholarships.
