2019 NSW Sports Awards

Our CPSARA Football players were announced  as 'Team of the year with a disability' category for the 2019 NSW Sports Awards as part of the NSW CP Football Team at the NSW Champions of Sport Ceremony held at The Star Sydney on Monday, 18 November.

PARAROOS VERSUS CANADA SUCCESS IN SYDNEY

On Saturday, 30 November, almost 1200 fans packed into Cromer Park to watch the Pararoos take on Canada in what was their first match on home soil in more than 19 years.
 
Our Pararoos won 5-0 

The Pararoos message is: “We are undefeated by cerebral palsy. We are undefeated by brain injury. We are undefeated by stroke.”

We believe the world game provides a unique platform for showcasing the “undefeated” message through social change and inclusion. The Pararoos are the driving force for this movement and with sustainable funding, an ambitious vision & your support, we can break down barriers, drive inclusion and change the game. 

2020 sounds like an even biggest year for the Pararoos!

Asia-Oceania Championships 

24/11/2018-30/11/2018

CPSARA members Ben Atkins, Daniel Campbell and Taj Lynch and the rest of the Australian Pararoos Team finished as silver medallists at 2018 Asia-Oceania Championships. 

The Pararoos kicked of the tournament with winning 11-0 against South Korea. The second match in the tournament against Thailand finished with the Pararoos winning 0 -3.  The victories continued for the Pararoos in the third game against Jordan where Australia won 7 - 1. The final game in the tournament was against Iran who won a silver medal at the latest Paralympics.  The Pararoos was defeated by Iran 7 - 0. 

With the three victories at Asia-Oceania Championships the Pararoos booked a ticket to next year’s IFCPF World Championship in Seville, Spain.
